Dennis Trimble – Wood Carving
Dennis came to the mountains in 2006 seeking solace from the stresses of urban life. He has lived full time in Alleghany County since 2010. The peace and beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains has bestowed the natural living he has always longed for. Gardening, hiking, biking and music fill his days of retirement.
He began carving wood in 2014 as a relaxing self taught hobby. He hand gathers pine knots and hiking sticks from his walks in these mountains. There is energy or spirit in the wood that calls for release and he pursues this in each carving. Thus, he named his unique carved and crafted décor: SpiritCraftwerks.
