Butch Godwin – Woodwork
Butch has been involved in fine woodworking since 1978. His experiences have included interior & exterior moldings, cabinetry and simple furniture to woodturning, his #1 passion. He started visiting Sparta in the mid 2000’s, and he and his wife Cheryl instantly fell in love with the area. They finally moved here in 2022 and couldn’t be happier.
Butch’s goal is to create pieces to be used and enjoyed for people’s lifetimes and even beyond. Most of his pieces are made from woods native to North Carolina, with much of the wood now coming from Alleghany County. He and Cheryl are very pleased to call Glade Valley their new home.
